Real-Life Strategies for Real Jobs

If you've ever wondered how ADHD challenges manifest in various careers—or how to thrive with it on the job—you're in the right spot. I'm CJ, founder of Ways 2 Work Coaching (and proud ADHD-er myself). I created this series to share honest, practical work strategies for folks facing some of the toughest, most fast-paced roles out there, all while highlighting the benefits of ADHD coaching.

Each post dives into a specific job, starting with Construction Managers, Operations Managers, and Supply Chain Managers, highlighting the ADHD challenges that come with these roles. You'll discover effective ADHD coaching techniques and real work strategies that actually work. Plus, my trusty mascot Samson will make an appearance along the way, because who doesn't need a little encouragement?

How to Listen to PDFs Using Microsoft Edge

Facing ADHD challenges and prefer listening over reading? Here’s how you can use Microsoft Edge’s built-in “Read Aloud” feature to listen to any PDF while implementing effective work strategies:

  1. Open Your PDF in Microsoft Edge — Right-click your PDF file and choose “Open with” > “Microsoft Edge.” Or, drag and drop your PDF into an open Edge browser window.
  2. Start Read Aloud — Once your PDF is open, look for the “Read Aloud” button at the top (it looks like a speaker with sound waves). Click “Read Aloud.” Edge will start reading the text aloud from the top of the page, helping you manage ADHD challenges by allowing you to absorb information more easily.
  3. Control Playback — Use the on-screen controls to pause, skip, or change the reading speed and voice. You can also click anywhere in the PDF to have Edge start reading from that spot, providing you with tailored ADHD coaching in the form of auditory learning.
Tip: This works on both Windows and Mac versions of Edge!
